A fashion photographer spotted Davidson at the age of 19 dancing in Southern California’s Newport Beach, and she began her career as a model shortly thereafter. She eventually appeared on the covers of numerous magazines before entering the daytime-drama arena. In 1982, she landed the role of Ashley Abbott on "The Young and the Restless." Davidson left the series in 1989 and immediately began work on the feature film "Eternity" with Armand Assante and Jon Voight. She then worked on Stephen J. Cannell’s prime-time series "Broken Badges" and on the TV movie "Sharing Richard" with Ed Marinaro. Davidson returned to daytime drama in the role of Kelly Capwell on "Santa Barbara."
A native of Southern California, Davidson comes from a large family of four sisters and two brothers. When she has time away from the studio, she often works with the inner-city children of the Para Los Ninos organization.
Her birthday is June 15.
