Braden Matthews joined the cast of "Days of Our Lives" as Travis in February 1997.

Matthews began his career as a model, and for ten years he appeared in runway shows as well as in magazines, catalogues and other forms of print media. He left modeling to join the Marine Corps, but after his service he returned to modeling and then took up acting. He originated the role of Travis for "Days of Our Lives," turning a "bit part" into a recurring character.

Matthews is a native of Cincinnati. In his spare time, he heads an organization called "Climb Up and Out," which teaches urban children to rock climb.

His birthday is April 15.
